The 2008 Swingtime in the Rockies event has been moved from its usual date in August. The Democratic National Convention has basically booked all of Denver for the summer, so this year Swingtime will be held June 12-15 at the Westin Westminster (Colorado). You don't have to try and do that! i had so much fun at the event last year, it was amazing! I'm supper excited this year! i don't even have to wait as long this year!:shades:

I just bought plane tix and I am definitely on my way to Swingtime in the Rockies. :) I am looking for roommies, so if you are too, please drop me a line (either here or on myspace/facebook). The more the merrier. Hope to see you folks there.

I wish this were two weeks earlier-I am going to Denver for the Lindy exchange May 30th-June 2nd. I will be in town from May 27th-June 4th. What WCS events are going on at that time? Tuesday's I will be at the Mercury Cafe doing lindy and on Wednesday I am hitting the Stampede for college night for old time sake. What other times can I find westies out? I remember there being a small contingent of WCS dancers out at the Stampede on Thursdays. Is that still true?

I do not like to miss the evening or late night dances on Friday and Saturday. Late night Sunday is not to be missed-if they have one. I haven't checked. Generally that is when everyone mellows out.

I'm open to other things during the day and Sunday evening dance.

That would be good, I had to leave for my flight back to the UK before the Results /Awards were known.

I would just like to say, what a great time the 4 of us from UK had! Denver Rocks:cool::D

Anyway, its the next day, it was a long flight and all the late nites have caught with me I am off to bed ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

A big 'THANK YOU' for all my lovely dances & comments (I won't start listing names, you know who you are;))
The 4 of us from the UK all felt very welcomed & had an awesome time at a great venue with top notch event organistion. We were also very proud that the three of us who entered comps each returned home with a lovely trophy:cool: All of us will be over in the US at future events when we can, so I look forward to dancing with many of you again soon, & to being inspired by so many amazing dancers:tonguesmilie:
