OK ... Here's the deal ... I have recieved at least 30-40 e-mails and PM's asking why I won't be having Mario here for workshop weekends anymore. Truth is, he is still coming twice a year. I thought by posting the information below it would explain what is happening. Apparently I didn't word it properly .... so I'll try again ....
The reason is ... due to his schedule and conflicts in the area, I can only get him twice a year. One weekend will be an intensive ... the other will be "Swingin Into Spring" (May 1-3) 2009. I used to bring in Mario, Angel & Debbie Figueroa, Brandi Tobias, Robert Cordoba & Deborah Szekeley, and a variety of other instructors for workshop weekends. Due to lower workshop attendance in the last few years ... due to both money issues and the proliferation of workshops offered everywhere ... I have decided to combine my workshop weeknds into one big one ... thus the reason for "Swingin Into Spring". This event will never be another Boston Tea Party, or Swingin' New England, or Dallas Dance, or any of the other big event weekends. It will stay a "Workshop Weekend" with minimal competition. If I feel the preregistration is getting too big, I will close off the event registration.
I MAY even do a second one in the fall next year with three different instructors. Same format, lots of workshops & social dancing minimal competition.
I hope this explains it better. Sorry for the confusion

Open to all ... No Partner Required. Almost 20 years ago, I met a guy in the hotel bar in Reston Virginia. We Had a shot of Crown Royal, and over time became friends. A few years later, I asked him if wanted to come to Ct/Ma and do some workshops, and as they say, The Rest Is History. Come on out and celebrate this milestone with us.
Also, This will be the last workshop weekend for probably 2 years. Mario will be coming to "Swingin' Into Spring", and there will be an intensive next October ... BUT ... unless a weekend opens up, there will be no formal workshop weekend in 2009
Friday 10/03/08 Hustle - 7:00 - 8:00 PM - Novice Hustle
8:15 - 9:15 PM - Intermediate/Advanced Hustle
Friday Dance 9:15PM - 12:00 AM - $10.00 - Free for those who take BOTH Hustle lessons
Saturday 10/04/08 - West Coast Swing. Workshops will start off with the basics. Each workshop will get progressively more complex - both moves and syncopations. To a certain degree, each subsequent workshop will build on the previous one. ALSO, due to the fact that we have several Beginner classes in the area taught by very knowledgeable instructors, the first class (Novice) is not a true beginners class (More like Advanced Beginners). We will assume you have at least seen all the basic patterns before, although, perfection is not expected YET !

2:30 3:45 PM - Intermediate West Coast Swing - Fun patterns
4:00 - 5:15 PM - Int/Adv W. C. Swing - Footwork and pattern Extensions.
5:15 7:30 PM - Dinner Break
7:30 8:45 PM - ADVANCED W.C.Swing - Mario's Latest "Big Dog Moves" and
Advanced syncopations
Saturday Night Dance 9:00-PM - 12:00AM - $10.00 with any workshop ($12 Dance Only), Free Pizza at 10:30PM (Or So)
Sunday - 10/05/08 Spins & Turns 1& 2 Part 1 will be the actual mechanics of spins and turns. Part 2 will be the application of spins and turns in WC Swing..
