By Popular Demand - a special 3 month series of Slow Whip!
Starting May 7, SWWC will be offering a 3 month series of Slow Whip on Wednesday nights! This is a dance that started right here in Houston but is gaining notice across the nation. Slow whip is danced to slow blues music (50-70bpm) and characterized by close, tight connection and using single, double and triple time of blues rhythm. This 3 month series will be taught by Trent and Michelle Haynes, current Regionals and America's Classic Slow Whip Champions, as well as City, State and National champions in West Coast Swing, most recently at Dallas Dance 2007.
This class is for Advanced level dancers with a solid foundation in West Coast Swing or Whip basics. We will cover the foundations of whip and slow whip, spins and patterns, and of course, slow blues rhythm and musicality.
# Class Registration is the first Wednesday of every month from 7:00pm till 7:30pm
# Classes are $35 per month for members
# Visitors (single class fee for non-members or "members" whose dues are expired) price =$12 per class
# Single class for current members price =$10 per class
