Wouldnt this event best be served in the national event section..I heard that this is the biggest jack and jill in the country and a great vacation weekend!!! ;)

I plan to be there that Sunday evening for the dance as I have for the past three.
I had thought it was going to move back to the Marriott after renovations, but I guess they've decided to keep it at the Biltmore.

Bad news, weather in Phoenix will be quite hot, Good news is that it's indoors.
And I know that a lot of people rate the Phoenix Convention as being the best.
isn't it always hot?
Last year it was like 90 or 100....

I will be in Phoenix this year as well....I just got added on to the DJ staff....and will be bringing suntan lotion...I made that mistake 3 years ago! :eek:

I'll only be at the dance that final night, but hope to meet some of you. Only a three hour drive for me - though this time I'll be coming up from Tucson where I'll be spending most of my vacation. ;)

Two nights this time, will do something else on that Saturday.
Not sure how to find any of you, but if you see a guy with short hair and glasses wearing a black pullover with red trim and the words "swing out" in white that'll be me.

I didn't care for their spa too much last year... this year I am flying in on the red eye on Thursday morning to spend a half of a day at the Camel Back's spa.... That was the only way I felt that the new venue lacked.

I have one ticket for sale for the Phoenix convention. I also know the table organizer and she has one additional ticket available, so you could get two.
The girlfriend was planning on coming, so we bought the ticket early, but she just found out she will have to work that weekend.
The ticket is at floorside table 25 on the left hand side of the ballroom.
The ticket price from GPSDC went up to $125. I'm asking $110 for the ticket at table 25. Again, there is one additional ticket at the same table for $110 also, so you could get a pair of tickets at the same table.

I have been diligently trying to find a flight I can justify!
Once the flight is squared away- I can confirm with the roomies that I will be joining them and sign up for the event. It's getting close- and the deals are getting a little better each day- pray with me on this one. I really want to go!!!

I was jut on Delta.com to check the status of my boss' flight so decided to double check my flights out to PHX and back since I heard on the news that airlines were cutting back flights.
Sure enough, my departure was pushed back 7hrs and 45 minutes :mad: (now arriving Thurs evening instead of afternoon), and my return flight was cancelled. :mad: I never got a notice from Delta. :mad::mad:
I'm on hold now with the travel agency and I'm sure this will all work out with a bit of inconvenience. So check your flights, especially if you booked well in advanced like I did.

Well, wasn't able to meet any of you, but then I had no idea who anyone was and for my part I didn't wear the shirt I mentioned I would, but I hope you all had a great time as I did. Fewer people this year, kind of figured beforehand when it was so easy to park just outside the ballroom rather than having to do so in the multi level next to it.
Interesting that Phoenix traffic was relatively light, even on the freeways when I came up on Saturday, but I guess many people there must have went up into the mountain areas to escape the heat like the one where I now live which was jammed packed over this weekend.
