A few of my friends and I are headed to Vegas in Oct. Does anyone know if there are some popular WCS spots?

Thanks

Kelli :)

I live in Las Vegas and I'll tell you we have about the worst west coast swing scene of any decent sized city I've ever heard of, but it is improving. There went from being absolutely nothing to having a few dancing options show up.

If I was bringing my own partner or meeting up with people then I would go to either Boulder Station on Thursday night, where they have a rotating blues band or I would go to the Fontana Lounge at the Bellagio. They have a band at the Fontana that plays decent swingable music and they have a small dance floor which usually isn't too crowded.

If you're looking congregate with the local dancers then you could go to Stoneys Rockin Country on Saturdays from 4pm-7pm, which is on the strip. They just started this as their WCS "night" and I was told they brought in an R&B band. I haven't been yet, but I heard it was good.

Alternately, I've heard some people dance at the Tuscany casino on Wednesday and Thursday nights. I haven't been.

If you're interested, e-mail or PM me and I might be able to round up a couple dancers and meet at the Fontana lounge sometime if the schedule works out, your trip is still a ways away.

That's great thanks for all the info. I will message you with more details. I'm coming with a group but we need leads so it would be great to meet up with a local group. Thanks!

Hi Kel (and others)...

Well, I am in a similar boat. I am headed to Vegas next week (arriving this Sun, leaving next Thurs). I would certainly like to go out dancing, even for just a little bit. Not sure when you'll be there. If there is anyone else out there that would like to go somewhere to dance, please let me know. Will be there for biz during the day, certainly would like to get out and exercise and have fun too. Thanks

Alex
