Not sure how many of you know Alain Wong - he's a lindy hopper from Montreal (if you watched the gMail/youTube (http://youtube.com/watch?v=qKAInP_tmHk) viral video, he's dancing at 1:10 - and the image of them mid-swingout was used as the still-photo clip for the video)
Anyway - Alain will be riding a bicycle from Vancouver, BC to Tijuana, Mexico for the cause of microcredit lending. This is a 7 week/3000km ride. He's trying to raise $3000 promoting micro-credit as a tool to fight poverty and empower women. All donated money goes directly to people in need, without overhead. Standout Jobs is donating a match of his first $1000. - I believe he's at $750 right now and has had a bike donated as well.
The ride starts on May 31.
